Description
In the northwest of Mecklenburg, 15 km from the Hanseatic city of Wismar and the Baltic Sea coast, the Seehotel is located in the middle of the nature reserve Sternberger Seenland. The hotel complex is located directly on the shores of the Neuklostersee. The privately run hotel opened in the summer of 1993. Initially, the complex consisted of two houses: a clinker farmhouse and a thatched half-timbered barn from the 19th century. Used for GDR times as a holiday home of LPG, the property was later rebuilt with much love and great dedication and since then expanded steadily. Today, the hotel complex also includes the "Badescheune", the "Wohlfühlhaus", the "Gänsebar", the "Kinderhotel", the "Boathouse", as well as tennis courts and much more. The Seehotel has a total of 26 individually designed rooms and suites. In the old stone house, the "Badescheune" and the "Kunstscheune" you can spend the night in rooms with some spacious living and sleeping galleries. In addition, there are three cottages on the hotel grounds with a small kitchenette, terrace and garden. The region around the Seehotel offers: The capital of Schwerin with its wonderful museum, the Hanseatic city of Wismar with its magnificent brick churches, the "White Town on the Sea" Heiligendamm, as well as Bad Doberan and Güstrow with the Barlach Museum are interesting destinations. The adjacent town of Neukloster is a well-preserved Cistercian monastery with impressive stained glass windows. The Seehotel is located on the route of the European Brick Gothic and offers a cooperation with the club of the same name.
