Welcome to Lake Constance, nestled amid one of Germany’s most scenic landscapes. On a small island directly in front of the gates to the historic old town of Constance, the Steigenberger Inselhotel is here to welcome you. The walls of the former Dominican monastery have an illustrious history dating back more than 500 years. Magnificent wall frescos in the erstwhile cloister and in the former church, the present festive hall, recall the coloured history of the city. Between 1414 and 1418, European history was written in Constance during the Church Council that was held here. In 1838 the airship designer Graf von Zeppelin was born here. Today, the Steigenberger Inselhotel is the premium address for pleasant, family celebrations, as well as for conferences and congresses of all kinds and size.
